After a disappointing game against WCC, Strikers are determined to get back to their winning ways and that is clearly visible from the display everyone put out in the game against WSU Cougars. Strikers traveled to Pullman with their full strength which did not happen in first 2 games. Winning the toss, Cougars decided to bat first which is surprising, considering it was raining that morning. Strikers started the innings beautifully with Avinash taking the wicket off his first over. The fall of wickets continued until the end of the innings by strikers taking wickets in regular intervals. There was some resistance from Yatin of cougars but he did not get any support from the other end. Cougars were all out for 95 at the end of 33rd overs with Avinash and Kishore grabbing 3 wickets each.
Second Innings became a formality as strikers chased down the target in 16 overs. Thats mostly because of one guy - Meghnath Reddy. It felt like Megh and rest of the batsmen played on a different pitch altogether. While cougars batsmen struggled to connect the ball, Megh played lofted shots over extra cover with ease. He scored 62(41) with 4 fours and 4 sixes and remained not out in one of the shortest chases in the strikers history.
1. Tight opening spell from Avinash and Srikanth. 2. Beautiful bowling display from all bowlers. 3. Megh reminding us his nick name (Raavan ka beta 😎) 4. Nice long drive with the team. Got to know lot of unknown stories about the boys!!!
