Mahi five for and Megh's quickfire 50 gave no chance to the opposition

Full Scorecard

Another win for strikers as they cruise into last phases of the NWCL Div B group stage. Losing the toss, strikers bowled first and restricted the opposition to 126 under 30 overs. Although it ended in a good way for strikers, it did not start the way we wanted. Azad Cricket Club started very aggressively and they made opening bowlers restless by scoring 45 runs in just 4 overs.

But the bowlers trusted their skill and executed the plan without getting distracted. That eventually paid off as Avinash struck the batsmen in front in the 5th over and things took a complete U-turn from there on. Mahi got 2 more wickets in the next over and put a complete brake on the oppositions momentum. From 45/0 in 4 overs, they were down to 54/4 in 10 overs.

Rest of the innings was straightforward with strikers getting wickets in regular intervals and putting more pressure on the opposition. Rohid from Azad Cricket Club tried to capitalize the short boundaries but there was no one on the other end to support him. Eventually they were bundled out for 126 in 29.4 overs

Chasing the target, it seemed one-sided(credit to @meghz17 - 63(25) ) until strikers batsmen decided to make it interesting. Megh and Raghu gave a good start by scoring 83 in first 6 overs. Megh was hitting everywhere and opposition were clueless as to how to stop him. At one point, it felt as it they were gonna finish the game in next 4 overs. Raghu gave away his wicket to short mid wicket going for a big hit. From 83/0 in 6 overs, strikers were down to 117/7 in 13 overs. Eventually Mahi and Kishore chased the target without losing any more wickets.

Finally we were able to give a memorable farewell to Raghunath Reddy and @srikanth67 who are relocating to Texas. We will miss you guys!!!
